A little gift for my dear friend, Radioactive-Cryptid
Not too long ago when Opal confessed she had fallen hard for the gorgeous buff, cheeto puff that is Jasper, we were discussing ideas for her headcanon for two stories she had in mind. Somehow, the idea came up of drawing up Opal with Jasper, as an homage to those bodice ripper covers with Fabio.

)
I definitely had a lot of fun drawing up this one and trying to go balls out with the background, as well as trying to be silly with the idea. And while I like how certain things came out, I feel like I could've done Jasper better, but hey, I think I did for a first try. Practice makes better.

This is a trend that needs to stop, jfc. I'm really sorry it's taken so long! ;u;
I still have that feeling of joy inside of me from when you showed me the lineart for this. I was SO excited, and I'm SO appreciative that you drew this out of the kindness of your heart. Your support of this pairing has been more then uplifting, and I can't properly describe how touched I am because of it. I love this. And I love you.
The background is just plain stunning. Like, how long did that take you? At least several hours? The colors are so lovely, not to mention glorious. You've blended them so wonderfully. This artwork gets a 5/5 based off of the background alone. Just- holy shit, woman. You should be damn proud of yourself. I certainly am!
And who can forget the stars of this show? Oooo, Jasper is giving me the honey glows in that outfit! I NEED to draw her in it sometime. She's so beautiful here, you drew her as such a proud and noble woman. As for Opal, I adore the dress on her as well! The colors are so me. 
It's dainty and flows- I'd wear something like it in the summertime! I love the pose, too. Gosh it's all great!
It's so cool how Will helped out out with the text! It's bold and beautiful. It really pops, which is good, considering literally everything here is so pretty to look at! (SpiketheKlown thanks dude!)
I'm snickering over how we decided Peridot should be the one who wrote this novel. Pure gold. I tried to imply in the couple meme for these two that Peri was well on her way to "shipping" them.
Man, if this book was real I'd own at least two copies!
